看破的是什么，

放下的是什么。

看破不是逃避，

放下不是放逸。

看破需要如实知见

五蕴身见的生灭不可得，

由此而引申出我所拥有的

财物，名利、声望

也终将磨灭不可得。

所以，

看破是透过无常生灭

来明确我、我所的不可执取。

放下是放下这份无始来

对身见的执着，

放下我、我所的深深执恋。

在如实知的看破过程中，

发现身心对身见的执取

有贪、欲、念、爱、渴；

故在禅修落实中，

放下的正是

这份贪、欲、念、爱、渴。

如此的看破放下，

在于个体有情的身心当中，

是多么的精准与明确。

   See Through and put down.

What should one see through and what should one put down? To see through is not to escape, to put down is not to let go.

Seeing through refer to see truthfully the life and death of the incorrect views of having a self of the Five Aggregates being impermanence and unavailable, this concept leads to the conclusion that the wealth, prestige and treasure that one own will eventually be extinguished.

Therefore, to see through refers to the realisation of not to grasp I and mine via the doctrine of the impermanence of life and death.  To put down refers to cast off the persistence in the inherited incorrect view of having a self and the deep attachment of I and mine.

In the process of seeing through the truth, it is found that there are greed, desire, memory, love and thirst in the body and mind.  Therefore, practitioners should put down greed, desire, memory, love and thirst in the practice of meditation.

Breaking down in this way is so precise and clear for the respective beings’ body and mind.
