坚持的过程

是行人迈向成功的主要因素,

坚定的目标

是行人内心最重要的信念力量。

也只有把握目标,

重于过程,

于时间的无常里

才能检验一位修行人是否道心坚固。 


从无常的时间观来审视,

可以看出一位修行人的道心;

从无我的空间观来检查,

可以看出一位修行人的正见。

而所谓的大师,

也必然于无常的时间中

坚定着大师的舍喜,

于无我的空间里

穿梭着大师的悲情。 


无常的生灭观,

对于初学人而言非常的重要,

若没有生灭观作为基础,

而直接的契入缘起观,

一般行人难以把握。

通过生灭观来如实知生灭,

进而明确这份生灭是持续的生灭,

是一连串的生灭现象,

五蕴身心也便在这份持续的生灭下,

如此的观察生灭 ,

了知生灭才能开展触受的如实知。 


不论是集灭味患离

还是通过无常观而住生灭观,

进而导向无欲观、灭观、舍观,

都是需要如实知身心的生灭作为基础。

The practice of Buddhism requires practitioners' perseverance in piety, and firm determination in pure faith.


The process of perseverance is the main factor for success in practice, while a firm target is the most important power of belief in the heart of practitioners.  Only by grasping the goal, focusing on the process, can the impermanence of time test the mind intent on seeking enlightenment of practitioners being strong enough.   


The mind intent on seeking enlightenment of practitioners can be revealed by the view of impermanent time.  The right view of practitioners can be reviewed from the doctrine of no-self. And the so-called great master must be firm to be almsgiving in the impermanent time; be kindness and pity to beings throughout the space of no-self. 


The concept of impermanence in life and death is the utmost importance for beginners.  Without the concept of  as the basis in the practice, it is difficult for general practitioners to grasp the right way to integrate into the doctrine of dependent arising directly. Through the doctrine of arising and ceasing to understand truthfully the phenomenon of birth and death, and practitioners can then realize that arising and ceasing is a continuous series of phenomena and the body and mind of the five aggregates are just within these continuous phenomena of arising and ceasing.  Observing in this way, practitioners could understand thoroughly the doctrine of arising and ceasing in order to develop the practice of realising truthfully in observing contact and feeling.


Practitioners should understand truthfully the phenomenon of arising and ceasing in the body and mind as the foundation of practice regardless they commence the practice from going through arising, cessation, gratification, danger, and abandonment; or going through the impermanent view and proceeding to the view of birth and death and then leading to the view of no desires, the view of extinguishment and the view of abandonment.
