你数的不是念珠，是念念的善

从进入佛门那天开始

大家有了一个新的爱好

收藏念珠

各种各样的念珠成了

我们退去名牌之后的新欢

数着念珠

念着咒语

心一层层的蜕变

有时你的念珠不见了

你会心中一阵慌乱

好似缺了灵魂中一个重要的东西

是什么让你如此牵念

是你害怕善念的所依之缘从此丢失

你说你数的是念珠

而我看

是你心心念念的善

每颗念珠的拨动

都代表着你的善在层层叠加的增长

每一串的划过都向征着菩提之路渐趋圆满

一百零八颗佛珠

也许代表着一百零八层意思

但我觉得

对于每一个人而言

每一颗都有着他成长、修行的故事

故事不同

意义不同

无论怎样

当你拥有一串佛珠时

你要知道

它不仅仅是一串珠子

而应该是你念念不息的善

和越来越智慧的路

每一串佛珠都是你的灵魂蜕变之圣物

请赋予它最有意义的每一次拨动

What you are counting is not beads on a rosary but each and every thought of kindness flashing in your mind 

Since the first day of the journey to be a Buddhist,

A bud of the hobby has started to grow.

Collecting rosaries

Becomes your new love

After your farewell to the old fashion-pursuit. 

With the counting of each bead, 

While chanting the mantra,

You heart is undergoing a gradual transformation.

Sometimes when it is out of your sight,

A flurry thrills as if a value in your heart was missing,

Why you are so concerned?

Is it Because of the fear to lose the karma your kindness depends on?

You say you were counting the beads of the rosary,

But I see they are the flashes of kind thoughts in your heart.

The turning of each bead on the string

Is the thriving blossom of your kindness.

Every completion of counting a full string is a step close to bodhicitta. 

The one hundred and eight beads on the rosary

Might be symbols of different meanings,

As for me,

Each bead represents a story of growing-up and practice.

Stories vary,

Their significance differs.

When you own a rosary, 

Don’t take it as a mere string of beads,

But as the continuous growth of your kindness,

And ever-growing wisdom.

Regard each bead as a holy article resulting from transformation of your heart, 

Bestow each bead in each turning with significance it deserves.
